Dan, You might do well to contact an outfit in Pennsylvania called Sail Care. The clean, repair, and reimpregnate the dacron to give them the stiffness of new dacs. I couldn't believe the difference in my sails when I got them back. They did a great job, and it sure beat buying new. I believe their email address is www.sailcare.com This might be better than dying or painting your sails to cover the stains. Marty
