Hi,
Im seriously looking into a stackpack from Quay Sails, whom i have spoken to in depth about. I really like the sound of a stackaway for ease of pretty much everything, I have one concern though and if any one has a stackaway on the original mast and boom or has knowledege of the following please comment:
As i have the original set up my boom gooseneck is not in a fixed position and slides up and down a track when the sail is raised and lowered and tension is applied via a downhaul on the boom, when in the stowed position it is at the base of the track and the sail stops at the top of the track if the slugs are left in the mast, so there is a bit of area to be covered by the stackaway.
Quay sails have assured me this is not a problem but i cant get my head around it does anyone have this set up and can you advise please.
