Hi I have an ST7000 head with a Linear Type 2 Arm and a 300 Corepack on a 50 foot Beneteau. The other day I was out on a blistery weekend and the system began to intermittently show "Low Battery" when it should not have - the batteries were definately fully charged. After about 10 hours it came up as "Seatalk Failure" and wouldn't function at all. Ideas please? I've already had a problem on the arm and the system is only 6 months old. Yours truly, Not Impressed So Far

Not impressed with Autohelm/Raytheon

Jeff; I have the ST50 series, wind/speed/radar/autopilot on my Beneteau 40, and I too am not impressed with Autohelm/Raytheon. Ever since I bought the boat four years ago, I've had many problems with the whole set-up. I'm thinking of ripping them all out and going with Furuno radar and whoevers instrument package will integrate with them.

no problems here

I have a 97 Hunter 42 with a full pack of ST60, Raystar DGPS, AP and Chartplotters. I've had, knock on wood, no problems to date and use the system connected to a Pc to drive my boat up and down the Keys and coast of FL.. I did have a consistent "no data" message one day but traced that down to a conflict between my PC and the chartplotter both trying to control the boat. To get the system back online, I pulled the small 2A fuse in the core pack and then replaced it. No problems since.
