We've just acquired a Passage 450 and the ST6000+ Autopilot shows the message "WATCH" and sounds and alarm every 4 minutes to make sure we haven't fallen asleep. The manual shows no method of disabling the alarm or of lengthening the interval. I'm all in favor of using a watch alarm, but would like some control over when and how to use it. If anyone has come across a solution We'd sure be interested,

Thanks to twalker H260 & scottdube for your replies. Yes, I was reading that section of the manual but I was unsuccessful in preventing the watch alarm. Instructions 1 thru 3 are all about using and resetting the timer back to zero to give 4 minutes of quiet. Perhaps I need to revisit #4 which is rather vague. Does "clear Watch mode" mean disable Watch mode? Pressing STANDBY defeats the purpose of being in AUTO mode without the alarm going off. Next time out I can again try pressing DISP to display a different page to see if that will disable the Watch mode. I believe I tried this, but I wouldn't bet a paycheck on it, ha ha. Thanks again.

Yes. You can turn watch off by pressing the "disp" (display) button and having the as head show a different page. I believe you can also disable the watch page as a user page so it never shows as you cycle through the various pages by pressing the disp. Button.
