ST50 Knot Meter

Just wondering if anyone who has upgraded recently has a working ST50 Knot meter for sale. I had mine die last fall and I want to replace it before I upgrade to a bigger boat. I don't want to buy a new ST60 and then sell the boat. I am certain the problem is the display unit because I found a a 'chip' rattling around inside the display unit. I tried to reattach and it did not take. If you have one contact me with a reply to this post. Thanks.

Is it the transducer or the display?

Once you determine which part is defective you can make a better decision on what needs to be replaced.

If it is the display you can either check ebay (quite often there are st50 parts there) or you can find one of the outfits that actually repair these older units. I do not know the names/address of these companies, but they are out there.

Catalina 270 Shelton
I Just updated the instruments on my Catalina 270. I have a set of ST 50's including speed, depth and wind. All were working when removed this last fall. Hadn't thought about a price but would be willing to negotiate. OK to contact off line.
