ST4000 Catalina installation

I recently purchasesd the ST4000 MKII wheel A/P for installation on a 1990 Catalina 30. Is this something that can be owner installed?? I have Datamarine instruments including wind indicator which is NMEA compatible. Can these be tied into the Autohelm?? Any help will be appreciated. David

Manual?

The instrument has NMEA IN pins directly on the back of the display. They are labeled and -. The manual lists the NMEA sentences that it will accept.The manual also has the installation instructions. The item is owner installable if the owner can perform all the steps in the installation process. If you have never changed the oil in your car and your VCR is blinking "12:00" then you should probably not try to install it yourself.
