I did..
on my 29.5 . works fine.installed the fluxgate compass under the galey sink , vertically , away from metals. Had a bit of headache routing the cables to the cockpit console , but eventually worked fine (from galey to under the port stern bed , to port locker , tru a marinized hole to center under the cockpit upper floor and to cockpit console ). No problem for the last 5 years.. Very friendly , altogh there is some noise as the wheel turns , somehow less then the 3000-belt- version , but much user-friendly than the 3000W.
