Thank you for the previous response. 2nd question: Since the ST60 Wind is available with either a Standard Transducer or a RotaVecta Transducer, can I assume that a ST40 Wind will accept a Standard Transducer also? The price bump for a transducer upgrade is one thing, the price for multiple ST 60 instruments is a little more than I want to spend. Regarding nominclature. There is a ST 40 Bidata and a ST 60 Tridata. They both seem to display the same information. Why is one Bi and the other Tri? Or is there a typo in my West Marine Catalog? Thanks, Ed

ST40 vs ST60

The ST40 Wind only accepts the Rotavecta transducer. The ST40 Bidata and the ST60 Tridata will both display Depth, Speed and Wind. The ST40 can not display all three pieces of data on its segmented LCD at the same time. The ST60 Tridata can display all three at the same time.
