ST-50 wind vane problem

I have a 1988 272LE with an autohelm/ray marine ST-50 mast mounted wind vane transducer
Z135 is # on it which the bearings and feather have gone bad.
Trying to locate a new one to purchase. The only one I can find in from the UK on E Bay.
I have read conflicting reports that an ST-60 (which is available) will work?
Not even sure of the plug is the same?
Any idea where to get one? or repair?
Ray marine is no help.....20 mins on hold, three messages and no call back.

Can't help but I have the same problem with my masthead unit, a datamarine. I decided to just not use it. I might replace it in the future but don't really find it all that valuable an instrument to dish out the big cash for replacement. You can get a Windex pretty inexpensively and a hand held wind speed meter. If I was racing I might find it more valuable.
