Even though I am still in love with my ST 50 knotlog it has been unfaithful freequently showing condensation(leaking Gasket) and finally just quiting entirely. I have pulled the instrument and am about to send to Ray marine. I'm assuming it needs new electronics and how I do hope it can be fixed as it would be near impossible to run a new cable for any other knotmeter and it interfaces with all my other ST 50's. Oh how I want my old ST 50 Back. Am i hoping for too much. Seriously, Thanks for your input Bill

The technician that works on it will give you a call. They will most likely be able to repair it as long as the instrument housing is in good shape. Take a look in this forum for instructions on how to replace an ST50 with an ST60. The wiring is simple. The only problem is the appearance of the nice new grey instrument in line with the old ST50 black.
