I have the Raytheon ST 30 knot and depth instruments on my 290. I am considering upgrading to the ST 60 version. Is it a simple (and less expensive) matter of swapping the displays only, or do I need to do the thru-hulls and wiring as well?
Hi gregg I just had to replace my transducer for the knot meter and I think they said the transducer for the st30 and st 60 were the same. They are very helpful over the phone I have called them for help a few times for my vhf and knot meter. The vhf they reppaired under warranty and the knot meter they told me needed to be replaced which they charged me $80.00 for a new one and it works great now, you can call them at technical support 1- 800-539-5539 ext2444
