SSi Cockpit Accessories

Hey All:

I've been nosing about looking at equipment for a boat I'm restoring and I ran across this eBay store. These items look like they would be really nice to put in the cockpit etc. but sometimes pictures can be deceiving. Does anyone on this list have experience with these products? If so, do they hold up well or are they flimsy? The manufacturer is a company called "SSi"

I suppose they are alright if you need that sort of fixtures. They should be fiberglass and not just heat moulded thermoplastic.

Catalina uses SSI

The shower on the swim platform on my 310 is made by SSI.

Here is their website. We also have a shower in the cockpit that we use on a regular basis. The dog appreciates a warm rinsing of the mud with the shower head.

Properly designed thermoplastic pieces are just fine. The plastics usually have to be UV-stablized in some way though.
