The floor-boards, especialy the head floor great, are driving me crazy! They squeak when you step on them. I sprayed silicone lube around the edges, but it only works for about a day. Any good ideas out there? Thanks, Bob

Squeak Squelch

Bob--- I've had some luck with wood floors in my home by laying down a thick coat of "Scott's Liquid Gold", and letting it soak in for a few hours or overnight before wiping up the excess. (You could also use tung oil or lemon oil) This causes the wood to swell, so the boards don't rub together. ---Granville H290-"Colette"

squeaky floorboards

On my 1989 30' Hunter I took up the floorboards and cut small pieces of non skid (like for plates, etc.) and placed under the floorboards. When I screwed the floorboards back down most of the squeaking was gone.
