spring trailer broken

I noticed that 3 plates of a spring from my 26 macgergor trailer are craked only the 2 big ones are ok. Can anyone tell me a place to buy this plates? Can I use the trailer this way? Thanks Cris

I wouldn't use the trailer like this except for very short distances. In Arkansas there are numerous places where you can buy springs. Just about any place which repairs or builds trailers can get the springs. You might also look at the spring and see if there is a brand name and then go online. Also JC Whitney has leaf springs. They are online at www.jcw.com. I replaced the springs on my fifth wheel. It was a lot easier than I expected.

What I did

Don't exactly remember what initiated this but, I replaced the springs and axle. From Champion Trailer I bought new springs and a spring slider and an angle grinder. New axle from Agri-Supply. The spring slider allows the adjustment fore and aft for better weight distribution. The only thing I saved were the drum hubs. Not sure if I will ever put the brake back on. My E-150 doesn't thing so.
