Hi, I'm looking for a place to buy some spring loaded clevis pins to replace the standard clevis pins on my turnbuckles. WestMarine didnt have them. They only come with the stay adjusters they sell made by Ronstan. Anyone know a good source for these? I just need 6 of them for the stays on my standing rigging. It would save a lot of time rigging and de-rigging.

Ronstan Toggle Pins

I know the item you are looking for, it's a Ronstan Toggle Pin. And you are right, West Marine doesn't sell them seperately from the shroud adjustor. You can get them from Murrays.com or you may just want to go to their store in Carpinteria. You'll find the pins at the bottom of page 31 in their online catamaran catalog. You can also get them with little lanyards so they don't get lost. This is what I use on my forestay. I'm surprised you would need 6 of them though - On my 192 I only need to undo the forestay to raise and lower the mast. The back stay and all the shrouds stay connected.

thanks for the tip!

yeah. I dont really need six but sometimes I like to take all my rigging off when I trailer the boat. I hate having them laying around. Always think they are going to get kinked. Thanks for the info on Murrays btw! a local place at that!

Would these work?

Would these work? Basically a pin attached to a velcro strap: http://www.layline.com/prodinfo.asp?number=SCARP1166 Pop them in, wrap the velcro around, then you don't need to tape over the ends of the pins to protect your sails. Kevin
