Spreader Bracket

Help!I have just purchased a Sandpiper 565, number 522.One of the spreader brackets on the mast has broken. Where can I get one?I did want to get it welded up but I an told it is made of "Monkey Metal" not Aluminium and cannot be welded. Is this true?Also where can I buy general parts for it.Thanks,Mike

Thanks for the info, in fact I managed to find them on the internet, and they are sending me the parts.I also had to make a new rudder as the other one was split in two! We hope to have her in the water on Sunday.My number is 552 not 522.My home port is on Manitoulin Island Ontario in a little village called Kagawong. It is paradise here! We are in Lake Huron.Where are you, and what condition is your Sandpiper in?Mine was made in 1979!Cheers,Mike
