I wondered what folks are using for spreader boots on H34's. The spreader measures 4 inches by about 1.5 inches. All the boots I'm seeing don't seem large enough. Thanks.

When my old boots deteriorated to the point where they wouldn't stay on I pulled what was left off. Everything I saw was to small as well.
I haven't gotten around to replacing them yet. I have been looking at the leather wrap ones. You can find a pattern on line by using Uncle Google.
If you do find some that fit let me know. Until then I'm very careful of my mainsail position.

After 12 years of using some home made covers ( white poly baseboard and tape) I have "upgraded" to using no covers, I replaced the cotter pins with oval head screws and lock nuts with the nylon inserts. There does not appear to be any rough ends to catch things on. So we will see. I had spent some time thinking out a pattern to make covers from a cleaned up discarded fender, but this is simpler.
I wonder if replacing the whole pin with a stainless bolt a self locking nut would be a good plan?
