thought you just made them. If you are talking about a cover that simply protects the sail when running with the main out then all you need is something that provides padding. Rags, towels etc. can be taped on, tied on or any other wise fastened. If you need the type of spreader end that holds a line or wire then that could very well be a speciality item that could require specific measurements. Contact Hunter marine for this info or the spar manufacture.Back to the basic protector. My wife found some light blue, water proof, fake leather material (now you know my sewing knowledge) that she made a end cap out of. She made velcro fastners to hold it on and also allowed enough adjustability to fit without precise measurements. Those spreader covers held up to one heck of a lot of abuse for all last year. I didn't even give any thought to checking them out specifically as they haven't moved at all.RayS/V Speedy
