I'm considering buying a slightly used (4 times) spinnaker from a friend with a 30' Pearson (rig dimensions J = 11.3' and P = 31'), my boat is an O'Day 31 (rig dimensions J = 13.25' and P = 33.75'). I obviously don't want a spinnaker that is smaller than my boat could otherwise use, but can't think of any other problems having a slightly smaller spinnaker might cause. Any helpful insight??? Thanks.
