Hi,
Looking for a new Spinnaker im not sure if the one I have is the correct size or not. Can anyone tell me the recommended size and type best for basic use on the Vega and the type/weight of cloth.

Or does anyone have one for sale or know where I can get one at a goos price.

Thanks

scott

Hi Scott,

In the Vega Yahoo Group there a file called Vega_Sail.jpg with the original info:
Luff/Leach= 9.340 m
Width=5.50 m
Weight (gr/m2)= 50
Surface area= about 47 m2

Here you find other info:

I decided to buy a gennaker (36 m2) as often sailing alone and I puchased it from Sailselecta:Bart Hopmans

A used sail that is in good shape will be your best deal.
Someone on this forum may have one for sail, otherwise, you can find several used sail shops such as Bacon Sails in Annapolis online.
If you are in the US, and not near a Banks Sail Loft, I could get pricing on a new Banks spinnaker for you, as i just picked up the Banks Sails Rep job in Denver. Tim
