You will need:
Spinnaker Halyard, Pole Topping Lift, Pole Downhaul, Substantial Ring on Mast.
1. Nice to have Ring welded to a car (w/ pin stopper) on a vertical track on mast.
2. T.Lift & Downhaul should be led to cockpit on same side so one person can operate
3. Best to have halyard led to cockpit, through a stopper, and to a winch on other side.
4. If halyard is internal, EXIT should be about 7' above deck so crew can grab it above his/her head and, bending over, get a full hoist with each pull. This is good even if halyard is led to cockpit, because it is faster. IMPORTANT to get the spinnaker all the way up before it fills in moderate to heavy air. Once it fills, the winch becomes pretty important.
Should have enough crew and PRACTICE in light air before getting too brave in a blow. Everyone needs to know the JIBING PROCEDURE.
