Spinnaker rigging

I am getting a cheap spinnaker for occasional cruising purposes. I need help in rigging this sail, in particular:What length sheets will I need?Where should I attach the turning blocks?Where should I attach the pole down haul?My pole is telescopic, how do I decide the correct length to set it to?Thanks in adavance.Colin

Is it symetrical or asymetrical? Makes a big difference in how to rig and fly it.

Try to get lightweigth snap shackles

I have an asymetrica spinnaker that I hardly use.However I always keep forgetting excactly how to set up (it needs to "float" outside of the forstay and everything else.Almost invariably I tie bowlines to the edge of sail and then find it's wrong and have to redo. Snap shackles would be ideal but stainless is too heavy for light air.Lewmar (?) used to make lightweight plastic shackes - where can I get these now???ThanksJim W
