spinnaker pole length..

What size spinnaker pole do I need for this boat? I have a symmetrical spinnaker.

I have never purchased one before, so if there is any other attributes I should look for, please let me know.

A friend said he likes the kind you can lengthen/shorten. The kind with the little holes and a spring loaded button that pops into the hole. He said they come in handy for other uses.

According to my sailmaker, a spinnaker pole should be the same length
as your "J" measurement. i.e. from the base of the mast to the base
of the forestay. 10' 2" if I remember correctly.
