Spinnaker halyard fouling

I need a bracket on top of the mast on my C30 standard rig to get the block for the spinnaker halyard away from the roller furling. Right now, they have a tendency to foul. Hanging the block from the extra pin provided in the front of the standard bracket on my '83 mast just isn't working that great. Any solutions? Is this standard hardware that's available somewhere? I walked the boat yard this weekend and saw every manner of bracket on various boats. Thanks for the help

I have a similar problem

On mine the forstay is connected one hole back in the mast cap (not sure of the right words) and a block is attached to a bracket in the original forstay hole. To keep the spinnaker halyard out of the way I attach one end to the pulpit (by the running light) and the other at the mast. If I don't keep this line tight I have a tendancy to catch the halyard when I furl the jib. Minor pain in the butt. If you need more info I have some pics from the catalina 30 owners manual that might help. Richard r_clack@hotmail.com
