I have a Hunter 290 and am setting up a spinnaker for it. I would like to know where you placed your aft blocks and if you installed new whinches or used the cabin top ones.

We have a 1996 280 (quite similar to your boat) and I attach the sheet blocks to a loop welded to a verticle support rail of the stern pulpit/seat and run the sheets to the cabin top. It is a little cumbersome that way but not too bad. There are spots on each coaming molded for a winch but I did not spend the $1K for new ones. Also, it looked like I'd also have to use a pad under each winch to get the proper lead off the sheet blocks.
