I have recently taken delivery of a Beneteau 331. I am quite pleased with the boat and have owned and raced several previous boats for comparison. The 331 has a very nice turn of speed. While my main reason for choosing the 331 was cruising capabilities and accomodations, I do intend to race her. I have always enjoyed spinaker flying and intend to do so with this boat but am concerned about a rigging issue. Has any one out there raced a baby-stay equiped boat with traditional spinaker, pole and rigging. Obviously dip-jibing is out but is end to end manageable or am I religated to non-spinaker fleet racing? I know that several Beneteaus use the double back-stay baby-stay combination.
