OK guys! Anyone know how high the spinnaker pole ring is on the mast? Apparently a spinnaker was an option that my boat did not come with. There is a ring on the front head of the mast that the halyard block attaches to, but nothing else?! No topping lift, no down haul, no ring for the spinnaker pole. I guess that you can use the extra jib halyard, but it is behind the head stay. Don't know if that would work.
I'm sure that every one is getting tired of the questions, but soon I will be in a better position to help more of you. Now if you want to know about a Ranger 26-2 ,I'm your guy!

A spinnaker halyard gets pulled at angles from side to side so a jib halyard block is going to jam eventually if you use it that way. The ring at the mast head could be used to hold a block that would work correctly.
The spinnaker pole (symmetrical?) should be horizontal in all cases so the mast end should be at the height of the spinnaker clew. Which is why the mast end ring is adjustable in most installations. does the front of your mast have a smooth rounded contour or is there a track or trough along it? on my Z-Spar the "pole car" rides in a depression that has sharp internal edges along the front of the mast, special Z-Spar part.
Who is your mast manufacturer?

It's a Kenyon, I have a ring to attach. Decided not to try to find a piece of track and pole car. Adjustable would be best. It seems that most boats have the spinnaker pole mounted right above the boom. I was just wondering if there is a formula for mounting the pole. I have never seen one below the boom, usually a foot or so above.
