I have had one on a Yanmar 2QM15 for about four years. Have never change the propellor. It is extremely well engineered and made. Easy to put on. I'm lucky--the water pump is at the front end of my engine and is easy to get to.

I put one on this last winter. Pump is a Johnson F4b-9. The original cover plate screws were brass and severely corroded. On the speedseal, I had to substitute one of the thumb screws with a slotted screw due to physical interference so i lost the quick replacement feature. I AM looking fwd to dealing with the rubber oring instead of the stupid paper gasket. I would recommend it.
Yes. On a yanmar 1GM, a Perkins prima M50 and a westerbeke generator. Makes changing impeller much easier.
I just ordered one a few days ago. Changing paper gaskets quickly isn't going to happen on a pitching boat. I would imagine that the "O" ring seal makes things so much easier and quicker to do. The new model, Speed Seal Life has the benefit of greater impeller life in the event of no water reaching the impeller. The original Speed Seal can be converted to the newer version.
I put a speed seal on in 2011 on my 3GM30F and my Northern Lights 5KW generator. Main advantage is the impeller works better with the Teflon interior plate. I still change impellers at regular intervals but sometimes will check and go longer if impeller is showing no damage and is in good shape.
You can run dry for 10 minutes as advertised. I know because I changed my generator impeller once and forgot to open the thru hull. Took 10 minutes to shut down! Had to change again.
It also comes with an impeller pulling device that helps get them out. Overall, it is a really good product.

Speedseal: provides easy cover removal. Very convenient for hard to reach raw water pumps.
Speedseal Life: Includes a teflon disk bearing in the cover that rotates with the impeller and DRAMATICALLY reduces impeller wear.
The Speedseal Life is a great improvement (if they make one for your raw water pump). I have removed an impeller after two seasons and found no, repeat no wear, or heat stress cracks on the impeller.

Some of the knurled screws are not that easy to remove by hand mostly depending on engine configuration. A slotted screw may be a better choice for some.
