I can't remember the last morning I woke up anchored in a place where I can't see a single house. Perfectly calm and clear with no sign of human intervention other than navigation marks and crab pot buoys. There was another sailboat anchored for the night up towards the magenta line but they moved on before I stuck my head out to take a look around.

The shore is too far away for a good picture but you can get an idea where I am on the SPOT:

It's page 43 in Volume1 of the must have On the Water Chartguides Anchor Guide for the Intracoastal Waterway:

It was dead calm all night. I could have been sleeping in a house.

Leisurely breakfast, not too far to go today. Time to get underway for the run through the Pongo Canal.

One year on

Hi Roger. You're just a little south of where we met up last year. I just checked my photos of there and I had jacket, gloves and hat on at the wheel so it sounds about the same "nippiness" if that's a word.

We've made it across the Atlantic to Tunisia so we're a bit warmer than that. Still, it would be nice being back where you are wandering down. Please keep the book in mind. If it's an eBook, it doesn't matter how many photos go in :)
