Looking at possibly buying used catalina 22. Where can I find specs on this boat (lead centerboard). I'm trying to figure out it my truck is capable of trailering it.
www.spiritone.com/mack/c22.htm/ They have spec shhets, etc for your boat. Figure that the boat is 2250 lbs and the trailer will weigh another 840 lbs. It would be reasonable to have another 250 lbs of 'stuff' on board, so the total load would be about 3350 lbs. Regards, Ted
Ted hit the nail on the head. My trailer weighs about 850#. It is an extendable tongue hell for stout model. My boat weighs about 2400# plus stuff. Total weight is around 3500# I have towed with a dodge caravan 3.3L on flat roads for 5 hours ok. Stopping quick is always a thrill. I now have a pickup.
