Has anyone installed a speaker/light pod on a Hunter 340? Mainly, I'm interested in the cable routing.

320 Install

I put one on a 320, and the cable was routed through the rear-port post. The biggest problem was drilling the hole through the arch. The hull already has an access hole for the arch wiring. Use a tracer line, and the wires pull right through. Now running the GPS line through, that was a litle tight...

Yep

I put speakers in my 97 H340 fiberglass arch in place of the access ports. Works fine. Dome light should work equally well. If you need more info, email me. Jim

Using access ports

We're considering usingthe access ports for speakers. We've purchased the speakers which have 4 holes - two of which match the hole pattern of the access port surround, so we'll have to drill two new holes to mount them. Haven't tackled the routing issue just yet. Actually, we're waiting for the Annapolis Boat Show to see if we can find out if there's a better way. I'm curious, did you find a speaker/light pod made for a fiberglass arch?
