I have, free to deserving old boat owners, some small spare parts (used) from my project to replace all the Bomar/Gray ports on the boat.Depending on demand, I'll either dole out a few for each request, or let someone have the bunch if they really want them.If you need a spare portight part and do not require new, this might save you a few bucks down the road, or provide a ready spare on board. The old ports did not survive the renovation/demolition stage, but the parts are okay. Here's what is available for the asking:-- Window knobs, with threaded stainless steel shanks (is that the right word?) and pins. All are functional, though some need a good cleaning (the ones that were located right over the kerosene stove burners!). I think these suckers costs between $12 and $24 new.-- Smoked lenses for the 7 X 15 ports. These are in reasonable shape, no cracks, but you will need to clean up the remnant of silicone where I gooped 'em along the bottom edge for an offshore trip.-- One clear lens for a 5 X 12 port. Same condition.-- Two black port exterior rims (with holes for screws). These are pretty dirty and would take some elbow grease, and/or pain for touch up.I am keeping a couple of these for spares, but godwillingandthecreekdontrise I will never need to use them.We can figure out how to get these to you by exchanging email. The new ports look very good, and I have only three to go. It is a bear of a job to do alone, and the mess inside the boat is pretty awful. My best day I managed to get three done. When the job is complete I'll post a pretty picture on the photo forum. Then I'll start on the rest of the project list.Regards, especially to those of you who provided directions, counsel and encouragement for this project,SandersIf you have questions:slamont@sbcglobal.net
