You may have heard or read about a missing lone sailor in the North of Western Australia? We spent many many hours sitting on his yacht and sailing together talking about his adventure to sail up North from Albany on the South coast of Western Australia. He worked for years preparing "Serene" and it almost seemed that last year his dream would happen but she was not ready. This year was probably Jims last chance to set sail and set sail he did earlier this year. Jim is a very experianced yachtsman and even at the age of 73 he is more than capable of completing the journey. Jim has been out of contact for a week now and we are all concerned about his safety. A wonderfull man and a fine yachtsman!

We hope for the best.

I met an 87 year old guy (he had the 270) who became my sailing buddy. He used to go out solo in protected bays all the time. His wife rode with him on their Harley until they were 75. After years as a "stink potter" he saw the light! alan

Not good news

They have now stopped searching. I just get this feeling that he may turn up down here soon.
