Hunter 26 Gull Lake
Good morning. I have recently purchased a Hunter 26 . The boat is 20 years old and apart from some minor transom and rub rail repairs she is in great shape. The boat is equipped with a U.S. Spar mast and I need to replace the spar ends. Any idea where I could find these ???

Hey Jack Daw...
The mast I have is a U.S. spar. Apparently the H26 had three different types of masts. Z Spar. Z Diffusion and the U.S. Spar. I need the spar ends that hold the rigging wires in place.
Thank you
JWC

Hey Dave,
Thank you for reply. Just bought the Huhter 26. I have sailed a Hobie 18 fir thirty three years and have decided to switch to a drier boat. A little arthritis in the knees and shoulders will do that to you. Thank you for your the info as the spar ends are a little worn and Imwant to replace any worn rigging before I step the mast and try my luck with a monohull. Sailed smaller ones oh so many years ago...flying juniors, petrels, sail fish and a few on the ocean.
Thanks again Dave !!!

You can see the parts on U.S. Spars website but stick with Phil Herring with the store site to get the right parts for you.

Dave,
Thank you sir for time. Have been busy this weekend with rodeo, helping Daughter and son in law with snake fence. Will look into ordering these parts tomorrow. The boat is is the shop having some minor fibre glass repairs. Hope to get her back this week, put some elbow grease to the hull and get her into the water.
I thank you again for your help..

Anytime and you will find Al, Phil and Dave with the forum store most helpful as well as others who speak up that know the boat.

Hey JWC, I just purchased a 94' H26 as well, and am going through the same process you are, fixing and replacing parts. I'm interested in your progress, will you be able to post pics as you go along? I'll try to do the same.

I just moved up from a 91' Macgregor 26S, which I will be selling. I had it for 10 years and enjoyed doing modifications and upgrades to it over the years, and posted a lot of pics and information as I went along. I hope to find the same enjoyment with my newly acquired H26.
