They probably won't

Jerry: I don't think that Yanmar will comment on the Soy based diesel fuels because they are in limited supply/demand. I have personally used the stuff, and would use it everytime I fill up "IF" it were more readily available. You should do some of your own research and see what you think about the product. Check out www.cytoculture.com They are located in Point Richomd, CA. You can also speak with Randy. He runs the stuff in his autos too. There is always the cost factor, but the way I looked at it was that we were only going to add about 5-6 gal. to a complete fill-up, so the cost per gal for an entire tank was only a few more dollars. I would be interested in hearing your feed back on this subject too.

I Use Soy-Gold

Have been using Soy-Gold in 2GM20F for about 3 years and like it. Yanmar dealer (PacWest) in San Diego neither encouraged nor discouraged me. I was introduced to it by a slip mate who has same engine. We both use about 25% mixture. I buy at Pearson Marine Fuel Dock in San Diego.

Using it

Thanks for the replies. I do use it and like you say no comment from the eng mfg either way. The engine does seem to run better and GPH drops by about .2 on trips to Catalina with a 20% mix. Also less smoke and odor. Jerry
