Hi Well where to start? This is my 1st sailboat. no Boom, rudder or sails.
1st question is I have a 25' mast how long of a boom will i need?
So far last weekend I spent scrubbing scrubbing and more scrubbing. It looks like I will be repainting inside. outside of this boat is a bit milky but I'm hoping it will polish out.

If you have a main sail that came with the boat, measure the short end (bottom or foot) your boom needs to be a tad bit longer than the foot of your main sail. Noticed that you sail you don't have sails...this is like buying a car without a motor or wheels! Hope you can source all the parts you'll need.

Right and the sail stretches so "tad bit" should be about 5" or 6".

try to backtrack to the last owner that stuff may have stored in a safe place to keep it pristine for when the rest of the boat was ready. put the mast up and verify that it's in good shape with good hardware and running rigging. are you trying to fully restore a boat or do you just want sail, learn a new language and meet really neat people? welcome to Trailer Sailers

Your main sail 'E' measurement is very close to that of a Catalina or Capri 22. Hence, a boom from a boat like these may work. C22's are numerous enough that you might be able to find used parts, and new C22/Capri22 booms are available as well. You would probably be able to figure it out by finding such a boat locally - an owner or one for sale - and comparing it to what you have. And use the info that you can get from the SC owners site posted earlier.

Best,
OC
