I own a 1995 Hunter 23.5. Wonderful boat. Puget and Desolation Sound boat.

The original hull graphic stickers are all there and, for the most part, look pretty good. But one especially has some scratch damage, and the others have a few peeling edges here and there.

So. Is it possible to get replacement graphics that look exactly like the old ones? Does someone sell that? Or should I hire a designer or go to a print shop with a picture? I am especially curious about the rearmost “blue wave” sticker, which is made from a vinyl that has two trasnsitioning colors, so it gives a sort of 3D effect.

I know many think the design is dated, so just remove it and update, but we really like the retro look of it…..

By the way…..the design has a huge blue 3D wave near the stern, the outer highlights of which then turn into a double stripe, which continues forward to be interrupted by “HUNTER 23.5” in a weird, reverse (negative) font. Then the double stripe continues forward to the boat name, and then again to the bow.

If these decals are not available form "Catalina Direct" .................

Or should I hire a designer
That shouldn't set you back any more than the cost of your boat.

to be interrupted by “HUNTER 23.5” in a weird, reverse (negative) font.
Search the net for fonts and you should be able to find one very close to the original font as a downloadable .ttf. Your fully computerized vinyl shop will use that font to make the "HUNTER 23.5" decal. Use taped references on the hull for font height and letter spacing.

That can be done by the vinyl shop by your photographing the wave at 90° to the hull surface with numerous size references taped in place. I went through a few dozen shots to produce the name decal for my boat before I got exactly what I wanted. Colour matching will be a challenge as you're tying the new wave colour to the remaining wave colour as it heads from the HUNTER 23.5 decal forward.

Be sure to get a print out from the vinyl shop before having him produce the decals.

I think we'd all like to see what you can do on your computer before you send it off to the shop. Could help a few others as well.
