Anyone know of a source for those two-piece plastic shroud rollers. They are approx. 5 feet long and maybe 1/2 or 3/4 of an inch in diameter, molded in two interlocking pieces that can be slipped together around a shroud without taking it loose, and provide very loose-fitting rolling protection of the headsail. I have an old set of them and can't seem to find where to purchase new replacements. (Looked in the archives without any luck). I know you can make your own but I seem to like this kind. Thanks in advance. Gary Kunkel Catalina 30 "Folie a Deux" Chanel Islands Harbor, CA

drainage

be careful with these, they hold water against your rig and will promote corrosion that could cause rig failure. Drill some holes in the bottom to allow for drainage

They don't hold water

Actually, the rollers I'm talking about don't hold any water at all and drain perfectly. They fit very loosely around the shroud and couldn't possibly trap moisture. That's part of why I like 'em so much and am looking for replacements. Hope someone will know where I can find them. Regards, Gary Kunkel

Thin PVC

I made a set using thin wall 3/4" PVC. I made a jig to hold them while being cut with a thin blade circular saw. They snap on tight and have been in use for three years.

shroud roller

Gary, I know the ones your talking about, I had them one one of my boats back in the '90's. I believe that I bought them at West Marine or boat US back then. Good luck with your search, they did work really good.
