I am looking for a source for the clam shell type vent that is used on many Beneteau's (at least the 411 and 423 but I am sure many more). The vent is used for the holding and fresh water tanks. I have generally be successful finding the source of products used by Beneteau but not for that one.

It is sold by Beneteau for about $36...

When I was looking to replace mine, I noticed that the clam shell was a one piece fitting that went through the hull and attached to the hose inside... Didn't make sense to me

I replaced the part with a 3/4" marelon through hull and covered that with a clamshell fitting from WM. This way, I can replace just the clam shell when it starts looking ratty...

When I upped the size of my holding tank vent, I just used a marlon thru-hull, as Peggy would suggest. The screen would be okay on the water vent, but on the holding tank vent you would not want a screen which would get blocked up and you'd have worse troubles. I'm away on vacation and my catalogs, but it seems to me that the vent is universal, and West or Defender would have it (which is why Syselios does not). I probably have the old vent.

I should have said for the water tank vents only, For the holding tank I also used a marelon thru hull, but the 1 1/2" flush mount size. I did not put a clam shell over the holding tank vent
