My 1979 30' Hunter was struck by a boat that broke loose from it's mooring. My pulpit and 2 stanchions were destoryed. Does anyone know of a source or the original source of these parts?

Try Hunter

Although they do not run a regular support business for our vintage boats, they are helpful. And they can often hook you up to the orginal supplier, or a current one capable of the repair. Drawings are usually not available unless the supplier has them. David Lady Lillie '77 h27

Original Source is gone

Phil: I believe that the original source for these parts is no longer in business. Contact the Hunter Store, if you do not see what you need give them a call. You may be able to take your old parts off and have them repaired too. If not they can use them as a pattern.

Stanchions in chandlery

The stanchions you see in our chandlery are manufactured by Tops in Quality, who are very good at making one-off replacement parts. We offer them at the same prices as TIQ. And if you use email you'll probably prefer our customer service, too. - End of commercial -

Tops in Quality

Used Tops in Quality to replace stanchions on my old boat. They took the originals copied the bolt hole location, raised the height of the replacements, copied the angle and shipped me a great product. They are as good looking as they are solid. Wait time for this sort of replacement is 2-3 weeks due to back order. Customer service is professional and responsive. If I were to be doing it again I would unhesitatingly go them once more. And no I don't work for them or get any discounts. :)
