I need to find source near New York City for a half sheet of 3/4" teak and holly plywood for use in my cabin floor - full sheet is about $400+ (ouch!) Suggestions for retail or websites to check? Thanks

Make sure you check the holly spacing. Not all mfg. using the same spacing.

Try Roberts Plywood, 45 N Industry Ct., Deer Park, NY 631 586-7700.

I know they have it, I do not know the price, but it does cost $$$.

T&H look alike for ~$30 a 4x8 sheet

I've found that standard cabinet plywood, minwax "gunstock" stain, a router and white aspen work great for a teak & holly look alike. At $25/4x8 sheet it is hard to beat.
Route the plywood to the second layer with a 1/4" router, cut the aspen to 1/4" strips, stain the plywood, install the aspen and plane till level with the plywood and finish.
You do have to sort through the sheets to find a grain match.
The center bilge cover is the new piece.

Try Harbor Sales in Sudlersville, MD ... one of the prime 'boat wood and ply' suppliers for the Chesapeake, etc. They only deal in 'quality'.

I used 1/4" birch stained teak then 1/8" pale yellow auto pinstripe on 3" centers under about 8 coats of marine spar varnish. Not teak and holly but I like not only the look but the price as well!

I second Christy's recommendation of Boulter Plywood of Somerville, MA They are at boulterplywood.com . You can get the 1/2 sheet cut 2' x 8' or 4' x 4' and specify which. I bought a 1/4 sheet of 12mm (1/2") Teak Marine plywood to replace some of the vertical paneling (lower portion) in front of the ice box, stove, and galley sink. They do ship to anywhere in the US, but I don't know at what cost. You can check out the website and also call them to discuss your specific needs. A great source.

Try ML Condon in White Plains. They supply a lot of lumber yards in the area, going north at least to Saratoga county. That made them a lot cheaper than the yards they supplied.

I don't know if they will split a sheet, but it is worth asking.

Closer than many of the suggestions would be Condon's Lumber Supply in White Plains. They stock a variety of marine woods including mahoghany, teak, ipé, okoume & Bruynzeel marine ply as well teak & holly ply for cabin soles. 3/4" seems thick - and heavy - for cabin sole usage. That's what you'd use for code compliance in a house, where there might be pianos. Most cabin soles I've seen use 1/2", with reinforcing brackets on the underside if they're needed for a big span. If you really do require 3/4", you might be able to save by gluing 1/2" teak & holly onto 1/4" marine ply. Or maybe not. They may not want to sell you a half sheet each of two different thicknesses, since they're not likely to have much market for the remaining halves. I've also had good results with Connecticut Plywood, in Milford (right near North Sails), but that would be a bit more of a trip for you.

When I replaced my 3/4" cabin sole about 10 years ago I looked into using thinner T & H glued to marine plywood and found there was no savings to be had plus more work to do.

I bought three sheets from Condon in White Plains and saved about a third over buying it locally. The local yard was going was going to buy it from Condon also.

Boulter plywood Somerville MA - Fred Boulter is a sailor and they are a long time supplier of high quality hardwoods and specifically for the marine applications. I am fortunate to be close to them and use them for all my furniture wood supplies.
