Custom soundproofing
This past winter, I had Great Southern fabricate a custom enclosure for my Northern Lights 5 KW. Mine is located in the port lazarette of my 356. They are great to work with and their system works very well. Total cost including shipping was $1,150. Since the enclosure is "soft" rather than hard, it is more flexible to work with. You will have to furnish them with information on where items need to go through the wall of the enclosure. That is the hardest partl On my boat, a hard enclosure would not fit, so this was the only reasonalble alternative (also cost $1,800 - no labor). It reduced the noise level significantly and now is just a barely noticeable background noise. Couldn't be more pleased. They are very helpful and easy to work with. Also FAST!
