You can, as this camera has wifi but I just aim it and go. KISS (KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID) principle works for me.Cool ! Do you see while/what you are photographing on a phone or tablet or something?
I love your expression KISS vs. Kiss my blank. Thank you very much for posting those wonderful photos. wish I was back sailing on a 260[/QUOT
Thanks for the nice comments. I did not think I would like water ballast. Turns out it is perfect for me and my kind of sailing. I love the boat so much, I just purchased a new Dodge Ram 5.7 Hemi to pull it down the road. Big step for me as I am kinda a tight wad who believes new trucks are a waste of money. I love my new truck and now I can drag it down the road, hills be damned. My first new vehicle ever. I got a great deal on the truck too. I know you are an expert on the H26/260. Can you tell me how to replace the windows and how to reseal them. I can get the glass cut. Not sure how to get them out. They are not to bad now but I want perfect glass later. Thanks in advance!![]()
Sounds like a Froggy bromance.I met dgreen1991. And yes, he's as cool as he seems.
Thanks Gordon, Mine is a tiller steered 26. I prefer tiller steering and the rudder is strong. Hunter listened to it's customers when they complained about the heavy rudder on the 26 and designed a lighter one for the 260. They have had some cracking rudder issues with the 260. In my opinion they had the rudder right on the 26. I like tiller steering for two reasons: #1 Simplicity, no complex mechanisms to fail or maintain, #2 You can feel the imbalance in the tiller for improper sail trim/ rig set up. I don't go out sailing unless I can stay 3 days or more. I love sleeping on the boat swinging on the anchor. I have a portable freezer/fridge, 26 gallons of running water, an electric heating element for heating water (not tested yet), 2 burner alcohol stove, old force 10 BBQ grill, 5 gallon porta potty, 4 inch queen size memory foam on top of 3 inch factory mattress and man is it comfortable. My freezer fridge idea is this: The Dometic 18 is used to freeze a gallon jug of water which is rotated every couple of days with the one in the 5 day igloo cooler. The 50 quart igloo acts as the fridge. It seemed to work OK but the 2 days of cloudy weather caused it to struggle. Means I need second battery and second panel. On this last 11 day trip, I just stayed a 3 days with air conditioning and charging at 3 different marinas. A few of projects I have for this winter is: anchor riding sail, second battery, relocate and rewire and new panel after deciding where to mount it or them. With this boat it is less like camping in my opinion. I live very comfortable and eat well when on board. I almost always pack too much food. We are usually on vacation and like eating at new restaurants is part of my over packing problem. Wow! I type (TALK) too much!Really very nice. Kite, 100w panel, H260 - it looks like the future me! I've been planning to outfit my H23.5 next year the same way, so we can camp on the water during vacations. Maybe I should just buy your boat. Ugh, there I go again...
Don would probably take issue with that.Sounds like a Froggy bromance.
