Sorry for the OT but I was just telling my roommate yesterday that I think it's possible with today's technology to build a car that ran on batteries and it was charged during the day by solor power. After all, most only drive a max of two hours a day and the rest of the time the panels could charge up the batteries. Then I ran across this link today about highschool kids who raced solor powered cars.http://www.livescience.com/technology/ap_050717_solar_race.htmlJust think of all the gas we could save if somebody built a small cheap car to carry one or two people and ran on batteries. Notice the word cheap. Cheap enough that the money saved in gas would pay for it in 5 years. Then everybody could have a second car. Think of the space saved on the streets, parking garages too.
