Two major lines. . .

that you need to run back to the cockpit are the halyards (main & jib). I would recommend forming the jib halyard into a continuous loop (85 +/- feet of line), so that it can act as a down haul (saves trips forward to douce the jib. You also may want to set up a lazy jack for your main, that way it will not fall into the cabin/cockpit when lowered. Finally, get a tiller tamer so that you can hold the tiller steady for brief moments when you have to go forward or into the cabin. Another thing is to teather yourself to the boat when you sail alone (so you don't end up swimming alone) Regards, Ted
