I asked in another thread about a source for solid caps for plastic fuel jerry cans. I want a more rugged cap than the inverted spouts or the little disks that go in the spout collars in case something hits the can. I'll be transfering fuel via siphon pump hose on my boat. Even if you plan to use the pour spout, a better place for it is in the locker if you carry your cans on deck or in a locker.
The company that makes one of my cans responded. The spouts on this can and my Midwest Can company one appear to be interchangable so I expect the caps will be as well.

The part number for the solid cap is #03639 price is $0.66 each you will also need the gasket for this cap, the part number
for the gasket is # 04401 price is # 0.44 each plus freight and handling.
