Can anyone tell me which end of the vang I tie a new line on? I have a 1994 Hunter 29.5 with a solid vang. I took the line off to replace and forgot to note where I start the line. Perhaps it's obvious ...

JHS,

We all learn by our mistakes pal, I call it the curve.
Look at Shemandr's link & find your make vang. Then look for a manual on the manuf's. site.

Here's a suggestion for you. Get in the habit of taking project before-n-after pics for reference.
This works well especially for elec. wiring, vangs & those more involved projects.

I keep a folder of sketches & project specific material. My pics are in folders on my PC.
This way, you will work smart & not hard.

:plus: That is good advice..... I do the same and it has saved my bacon more than once.

On an earlier boat I once owned... I did a complete restoration and removed ALL of the deck hardware, and ports etc.... and more than a few times, I had to go look at my before pictures to remember where a specific part was supposed to go.

That is something I usually do. I have figured it out from the Z-Spar site. Thanks all for the suggestions.
