Chuck, that is a difficult question to answer in that there are a lot of variables starting with type of sailing you do, the amount of sail time etc. The best suggestion is to go over the rigging once a season with a good magnifying glass looking for any signs of corrosion or cracks. Even the slightest sign of either of those problems the rig needs to be changed. good Luck Charlie
