I have a question for someone with knowlege of solar. I am interested in adding a couple of solar panels to my boats electrical arsenal. I am convinced that I should set each one up on its own mppt controller for maximum reliability but I have a few concerns about installation (just not that knowledgable about them).
My battery bank consists of two sets of two 6V agm ((series / parallel), with 1-12v for starting. It is set up with a Magnum ME 2012 inverter/charger on a combiner and a/b/all switch.
My questions...
A. Does the connection to the 6V go to the positive/negative posts between the two 6V, or should it be installed at the end of one of sets?
B. Should I install a positive terminal block to make the connection?
C. The panels would be 100 w/12v, should I use two separate fuses or install both on a single.
Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to offer (including possible resources I might be able to access.
