Solar panel on dodger

So,,several months ago I was querying group members about the effectiveness of installing a solar panel atop the dodger. Well, I did it and have posted a photo in the album. Before installation I added forward legs to the dodger frame to strengthen and stabilize it for the additional weight. Then, I added some 1" s/s bimini clamps to existing upper frame. Those penetrated the dodger material upwards. To that I attached some 90 degree s/s brackets which attach the the bimini clamps and screw directly to the solar panel frame. The solar panel is 100W utilizing a Victron 75/115 mppt controller. On cloudy days with the boom and sail cover over the panel it produces 13.7 volts and on sunny days it is 14.2 volts. I expected the shading to be more significant but it is not bad. While sailing, the panel is unobstructed most of the time and with my auto tiller and VHF on my voltage does not drop 13.4 volts. So far I am pleased with the results, especially since this installation is completely out the the way and does not detract from the lines of the boat like some other installations would have required. Cheers
